TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE CLEAN TECH REVOLUTION.
Regions, firms, and industries are waking up in today’s turbulent economy and global climate change challenge to realize that “clean tech” and the move toward sustainability are bringing unprecedented opportunities for wealth creation, high growth career development, and innovative solutions to a range of global problems.
Industries and regions that do not recognize this imperative and do not take advantage of the social and political mandate to innovate and rethink their relationship to sustainability are threatened with economic stagnation and decline. An obvious example is in the automotive industry: Gas-guzzling sport utility vehicle (SUV) proprietor Ford has seen its fortunes plummet as those of hybrid-leader Toyota rise.
As leaders realize that business as usual is not an option they are taking steps towards implementing sustainability measures. This frequently takes the form of creative chaos, sustainability initiatives and projects appearing in various government agencies, businesses, and civic groups. In some sectors, however, there is also a lack of coherence and a feeling of resistance that results from a lack of clarity on how to proceed forward and a lack of common vision, definitions, goals, and metrics.
ETG has developed a process to support and accelerate industries, regions, and communities as they move towards a stable, prosperous, sustainable economic future. We focus on regional economic drivers and engage the private sector in partnership with key government leadership and civic organizations to define sustainability and clean tech initiatives. Goals include stimulating and fortifying clean tech industries and helping existing industries take advantage of clean tech innovations. Critical to our process is initiating a change in mindset that makes progress possible.

"Within 50 years, we'll look back at the beginning of the 21st century and see it as the tipping point for clean technology. The choice for investors, companies, governments, and individuals is simple. Be part of one of the greatest business and economic shifts in recorded human history, or become extinct like the dinosaurs whose fossils fueled the last great industrial revolution. The opportunity for wealth creation stands on one side of the equation and the very real threat of the collapse of civilization as we know it on the other."
